Harvesting the Benefits of African-European Research Partnerships

The long-term EU-Africa research and innovation Partnership on food and nutrition security and sustainable Agriculture (LEAP-Agri) have just published a magazine, which showcases the results from African-European collaboration research projects, focussed on six examples of innovations needed to transform global food systems.

Netherlands Food Partnership and Netherlands Water Partnership announce the development of a Global Campaign on Salinisation

During the UN 2023 Water Conference side event: ‘Make Water Pivotal in Food Systems’ organised by Wageningen University and Research, Nicole Hellwig, Head of Communications and Events at NWP, on behalf of Netherlands Water Partnership and Netherlands Food Partnership, announced the ambition to develop the Global Campaign on Salinisation. The campaign is incorporated as a commitment in the Water Action Agenda. The scope and shape of the global campaign is currently being developed.

Hands-on Integrated Pest Management Training Session in Senegal | A Successful Collaborative Action by Horticulture Companies

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) involves a combination of sustainable methods which can be applied to suppress and mitigate diseases and pest infestation. To help support the application of IPM within the horticulture sector in West-Africa, a training session took place at the demo fields of Agroseed in Senegal on 10 and 13 March, which was the result of a collective effort driven by the 'Skills for Horticulture' coalition.

SeedNL Seed Laws Toolbox 2023 - Open Call for Proposals

For a second time, SeedNL will be launching its Seed Laws Toolbox, a facility for small grants to address seed regulatory bottlenecks. Last year a pilot was successfully launched, allowing the implementation of four projects in respectively Benin, Iraq, Mozambique and Tanzania.
